When I try to upload a file I get "553 file name not allowed". There are no spaces or anything weird in the file name, so dropf must be adding them in during the transfer process. I wish there was something like this program that wasn't so buggy. Mac users have dozens of stable apps like this. Oh well, thanks for trying.

Give us some details, so we can test it.
1. Which OS you are using?
2. Which FTP server you trying to connect? (not address just ftp server software name eg. FileZilla, Microsoft Ftp Server, etc.)

I am getting this same thing. I tried a few FTP accounts (on the same host) with the same result.

When I check the FTP, I get "Ftp connection successfully."

But when I drag a file to the icon, it tries for awhile and gives me the 553 error.

host: Hostgator
Operating System: Windows 7 ultimate

My dropf settings
Host: ft.domain.com
Http Url: http://domain.com/files
root folder: domain.com
upload folder: files

Unfortunatelly, I can't give you access to the FTP, as it's private company's server. upset

I am having this same problem with v .2.8 (just d-loaded today and am trying it for the first time). i have had no luck with changing various settings and trying combinations of root folders etc.

My site is a sub-domain on mediatemple. My ftp site like this: ftp.sitename.com

Link to the uploads folder that I have been using with FTP programs and a web-based uploader is like this:
(xxxx substituded for privacy)

/x/xx/xxx/xxxx/xxxxx/domains/sitename.com/html/upload/files

Any idea if this problem persists, or if it's a problem with my paths?

Thanks in advance!
